Job Summary

We are looking to recruit sales/marketing personnel. The successful candidate will be under the direct supervision of Leadership. The purpose of the position is to provide excellent customer service and assistance to patients/customers. Otherwise referred to as optical sales personnel, you will be responsible for greeting patients, assisting patients with the purchase of eyewear, providing patients with promotional information, and answering customer inquiries.

Job Description/Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greets all patients and customers as they enter the store and provide promotional information to patients and customers.
  • Attain sales goals established by the management team while complying with company and local policies and procedures.
  • Assists patients and customers with a choice of frames: choose eyewear to best fit their budgetary requirements.
  • Resolve customer complaints, diffuse unsatisfied patients, and provide solutions to remedy situations.
  • Troubleshoot and identify problems related to prescription.
  • Completes inventory count and replenishes stock as necessary.
  • Adheres to quality control standards and other safety requirements.
  • Answer phones according to company guidelines.
  • Make minor repairs to eyewear.
  • Performs basic housekeeping duties;
  • Assist clients in selecting frames according to style and color, and ensure that frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
  • Perform administrative duties such as tracking inventory and sales, submitting patient insurance information, and performing simple bookkeeping.
  • Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit client needs.
  • Sell goods such as contact lenses, spectacles, sunglasses, and other goods related to eyes in general.
  • Show customers how to insert, remove and care for their contact lenses.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in English (oral and written).
  • Candidate must have completed NYSC.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Packages (Excel and Word).
  • Excellent phone etiquette and ability to multi-task.
  • Calm and efficient in all situations.
  • Welcoming, friendly and helpful.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must be intelligent, smart, creative, good communicator and administratively efficient.
  • Ability to pay attention to details.
  • Must have a Minimum of 2nd Class Lower or Lower Credit.
  • Knowledge of Eye Clinic functionality is an advantage.
  • Must be between ages 20-30years
  • A Bi-lingual skill is an advantage.
  • Membership of a recognized professional body is an advantage.
  • Years of experience in similar roles is an added advantage.
