Job Summary

They lead less experienced sales representatives and develop sales pipelines to manage sales quotas. The incumbent will be required to both take direction and work intuitively to support the completion of the department’s goals and objectives in a professionally and culturally appropriate manner.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Communicate with customers and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to determine relevant messaging and timing
  • Work with vendors to develop digital assets that are in line with branding and best practices
  • Multi-channel ad schedule development and execution
  • Keep a close eye on content performance and provide data supported suggestions
  • Assist in the development of overall online and offline Marketing strategies
  • Manage digital asset libraries and provide to team members as needed
  • Notify developers of reported issues with website
  • Help test website after code deployments
  • Assisting less experienced Sales Representatives in answering technical questions posed by customers during outbound telephone calls.
  • Providing support to less experienced Sales Representatives as needed.
  • Identifying potential customers through networking initiatives, cold-calling, and email communications.
  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations to potential and existing customers.
  • Preparing regular sales reports as well as sales territory plans.
  • Researching competitors’ products, pricing, and product success to determine customer preferences.
  • Developing innovative sales strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Promptly submitting customers' purchase orders to the relevant department for processing.
  • Resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner to maintain customer loyalty.
  • Expanding industry knowledge by attending educational workshops and reading professional publications. Researching competitors’ products, pricing, and product success to determine customer preferences.
