Job Summary

A Solar Energy Company in Lagos is in need of experienced Sales Personnel to Mann its sales department and generate revenue. This is a strictly sales position, so persons without sales experience or persons who are not motivated by a rewards-based-on-sales system should not apply.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Be an advocate of the Baltai Energy SSN Campaign delivering solar energy solutions to 500,000 businesses and households across Nigeria.
  • Identify, qualify, and engage with individuals and corporate organisations to sell solar energy solutions to homeowners and businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong meaningful relationships with businesses and homeowners that leads to sales conversions for solar energy equipment.
  • Generate and establish a strong database of Leads that can be converted into sales of solar energy equipment.
  • Engage, Register, and assist homeowners and/or businesses to take advantage of the Baltai Energy SSN Campaign in order to access solar financing for their homes and businesses.
  • Convert leads into sales of solar energy equipment.
  • Act as a first point of contact to clients for product and service escalations, inquiries, and other quarries that may arise after installation of solar energy equipment.
  • Act as a feedback channel for the company.
  • Communicating regularly with company management to provide a better understanding of clients/prospect's needs and preferences in order to push marketing initiatives and other favorable strategies forward
  • Collaborate with solar technicians and company management to clearly understand the desires and overall objective requirements of clients.
  • Operate as the first point of contact for any and all matters specific to your clients and /or prospects.
  • Assist in developing and improving policies, processes, and procedures for better marketing  insights, strategy, and better service delivery to prospective and converted clients
  • Promote company and product awareness on social media, focus groups, and solar awareness forums.
  • Participate in Solar Energy Industry events and in-market learning and development sessions.
  • Send daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports to a supervisor or line manager as the need arises or as is required by company management.


Requirements:

  • Must have a strong sales mentality with a hyper-focus on sales performance.
  • Must be skilled at identifying and driving new opportunities that advance and deepen business relationships for sales conversion purposes.
  • Must be confident and have the ability to make compelling presentations before an audience.
  • Should have exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills in order to interact professionally with a diverse group of people, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • At least 5 years of core sales experience within the engineering, electronics, or technical services domain.
  • Minimum O’ Levels or School Cert Qualification
  • Technical experience in solar energy installations is an advantage.
  • Must have a working smartphone for effective online and offline communication.
