Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to join our workforce to increase the market share of the business and increase business revenue. The Sales Manager will bring in new clients for the business across key markets in the country while also maintaining existing clients and growing business relationships. Patec Foods is an aquaculture production and processing company that is focused on transforming the aquaculture industry in Nigeria and significantly empowering smallholder farmers. The company has built one of the largest vertically integrated aquaculture farms using modern aquaculture technology (RAS). Located in Kwara State, the aquaculture centre has state-of-the-art hatchery, nursery, grow out and industrial fish processing facilities; and the capacity of these facilities shall be continuously expanded to meet the growing demand for fish. The company is currently producing smoked catfish with a long term plan to produce frozen fillet and steak from the African catfish

  • Minimum Qualification: Degree
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 5 years

Job Description/Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales strategies that lead to revenue generation for the business.
  • Meet monthly sales targets as laid out by the CEO 
  • Develop, expand and manage existing and future sales channels
  • Develop strategies to build and push the brand to become known and  well patronized 
  • Develop business strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, grow  existing customer base and increase profitability
  • Maintain high store standards and conditions and foster a positive  environment
  • Coordinate field sales agents and representatives
  • Effectively utilize social media to drive sales and brand awareness
  • Ensure high-level customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Ensure customer’s needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is  quick and efficient 
  • The manager must ensure that sufficient inventory is available at all times  to avoid being “out of stock”
  • Keep abreast of competitor’s products and actions
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
  • Scouting for and attending events and fairs that would enhance business  visibility and add value to the business
  • Gives updates to the CEO about the business through the periodic report

Key Objectives:

  • Sales Reports to Management 
  • Coordinate market research
  • Liaison with General Manager and Production Supervisors
  • Train and develop the sales team 
  • Plan daily sales activities
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and recommendations - Motivate and encourage sales staff
