The Safety and Quality Control Officer will be responsible for enforcing safety protocols, monitoring production quality, and ensuring that both people and products consistently meet company, industry, and regulatory standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Safety Management
- Develop, implement, and enforce workplace health & safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments across departments.
- Train staff on safe work practices, use of PPE, and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor, health, and environmental regulations.
Quality Control
- Monitor production processes from raw material to finished goods to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Inspect, test, and sample materials, semi-finished products, and final outputs.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and certifications.
- Work with production supervisors to identify root causes of defects and drive corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with company quality assurance policies and customer requirements
General Duties
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and HR teams to promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reports to management on safety and quality performance indicators.
Requirements:
- Minimum of HND/BSc in Industrial Safety, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in safety and/or quality control (manufacturing experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, ISO standards, and quality assurance practices
- Ability to develop SOPs, safety manuals, and quality control checklists.
- Excellent communication, training, and reporting skills.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and leadership qualities.
