Job Summary

We are seeking to hire a passionate and hands-on Robotics Instructor (Kids) to lead practical and engaging robotics sessions for children and teens aged 7 to 18 during our on-site summer tech program. We offer physical and live online tech courses for children. In this role, you will introduce students to the world of robotics.

  • Minimum Qualification : High School (S.S.C.E)
  • Experience Level : Entry level
  • Experience Length : 1 year

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a classroom of 5-20 students.
  • Design and facilitate hands-on robotics lessons tailored to different age brackets (7–12, 13–18).
  • Teach basic robotics concepts including circuits, sensors, motors, and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino or similar).
  • Guide students through building simple robotic projects such as automated cars, obstacle avoiders, or line-following robots.
  • Encourage teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving through group projects and challenges.
  • Ensure all materials, tools, and kits are set up and functional before each session.
  • Monitor student progress, provide support, and give constructive feedback.
  • Prepare teaching materials ahead of sessions.
  • Collaborate with the program team to ensure smooth delivery and coordination of sessions.


Requirements:

  • Student or Graduate of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields (preferred). 
  • Experience working with robotics kits (e.g., Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, micro:bit) and STEM education tools.
  • Prior teaching or facilitation experience with children or teens in classroom, camp, or workshop settings.
  • Strong understanding of basic electronics, programming, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Must be available for the entire duration of the program (July–August).
  • Must reside in Port Harcourt.
  • Bonus: Experience in STEM education, edtech, or running coding clubs for kids.
