Job Summary

We are searching for a reliable quantity surveyor to join our capable team of professionals. The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers. To be successful as a quantity surveyor, you should have a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills. Outstanding quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing costs, but they also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome.

Job Description/Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

Work with the Real Estates Development team to:

  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
  • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

  • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.

  • Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.

  • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and others)

  • Assess potential risks, materials and costs.

  • Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.

  • Oversee procurement procedures of construction materials and other supplies.

  • Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.

  • Scout for and engage with prospective subscribers to our Real Estate Solutions Services.

  • Preparing financial statements and records.

  • Establish and maintain good customer-client relationships.

  • Lead team members to supervise construction projects.

  • Develop business ideas and opportunities, assess and recommend risk management strategies.

  • And other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of the department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.

  • A minimum of 3 years proven work experience in Quantity Surveying

  • Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Sound knowledge of construction

  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills

  • Great leadership and project management abilities

  • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize

  • Show a strong ability to critically analyze market problems and define clear, detailed, and logical product and service solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Knowledge of property maintenance and procurement of vendors and suppliers
