Job Description/Requirements

Main Responsibilities:

  • To cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.  
  • Assist the leadership team to develop, manage and monitor the QHSE performance of the company.  
  • Monitor and advice on all QHSE matters, issues and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements, Company and contractual requirements and good industry practice.  
  • Liaise with Customers and Supply Chain, regarding QHSE matters, ensuring their expectations are met.  
  • Responsible for Company’s QHSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company obtains  and maintains its accreditations (ISO9001-2015, ISO14001-2015, EFSA & Eucertplast  Certificate) 
  • Responsible for management of and liaison with QHSE auditors to acquire/maintain the Company’s accreditations 
  • Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and  assisting in implementing improvements  
  • Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, etc.  
  • Report on Company’s QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as/when required.  
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.  
  • Conduct QHSE training courses using internal and external resources when required.  
  • Maintain awareness of evolving industry QHSE regulations and best practices and how they could be applied to the Company’s operations.  
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for QHSE matters.  
  • Produce further analysis and reports as may be required by the Directors, or management from time to time.  
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.  
  • Offer QHSE consultancy to the Company’s subsidiaries and affiliates when required. 


  • To carry out any other duties commensurate with the above mentioned as directed by the  Directors and GM 

Professional Qualities:

  • Proven QHSE professional from a highly regulated industry such as Industrial Automation, Process, Oil & Gas, Power Generation or suppliers to these industries. Preferable in Recycling and waste management field.
  • Excellent and topical knowledge of Quality Management Systems.  
  • Strong leadership skills to constantly drive safety and quality improvements. 
  • A “hands-on” implementer of processes and change  
  • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions. 
  • Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.  
  • Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members. 
  • Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
  • Excellent motivational and people skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).  
  • Excellent computer skills.  
  • Management skills.
  • Full current driving license.  
  • Ability to maintain Company integrity through confidentiality and discretion. 
  • Ability to promote the Company and associated organizations.  
  • Ability to travel within Nigeria (without restriction) when required to meet clients & suppliers
