DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide quality assurance for every stage of the product development process, from manufacturing to packaging.
Determine proper corrective actions to bring products in line with requirements.
Initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation based on the prescribed requirements of the company's formula and NAFDAC.
Perform chemical and physical analysis of manufacturing samples submitted at different steps of the production processes so that any variation from established specifications will be duly controlled and adjusted.
Analyze, inspect and grade inbound ingredients and manufactured feeds.
Initiates and implements company’s prescribed methods and procedures for disposition of non-conforming material and observes the methods to adequately reject, dispose or rework non-conforming products.
Reviews the company’s prescribed tabulation of data concerning ingredients, products, or process quality and reliability.
Assists the Feed Mill Manager in maintaining NAFDAC and other agency required records.
Determines corrective actions and communicates those needs to the Feed Mill Production Manager.
Trains employees to identify and report Food Safety and quality issues.
Manages all the Quality Assurance responsibilities of the facility and is responsible for reporting performance and achievements to management in regards to all prescribed Food Safety goals.
Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization
Other duties as required by Management.
A degree in Animal Science, Milling Technology or related courses is preferred.
Work-related experience in the manufacturing of feeds is required.
Work-related experience of a minimum of 5 years in Quality Assurance methods for animal feeds is preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft.
Ability to work days and hours as determined by the facility manufacturing schedule and supervisory needs.
