Duties & Responsibilities
I. The Successful Candidate will coordinate internal resources (materials, machines, personnel and third parties/vendors) in accordance with strict budget and strict timelines for the flawless execution of all projects.
II. Submit project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to best quality standards.
III. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
IV. Proficiency in the use of computers, and internet based functionalities.
V. Deliver winning and successful presentations and deliver tenders and bids for prospective projects.
VI. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
VII. Ensure resource availability and allocation.
VIII. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
IX. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
X. Measure project performance and post project evaluation using appropriate tools and techniques.
XI. Report and escalate to management as needed.
XII. Preparing Status Reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
XIII. Manage relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
XIV. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
XV. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
XVI. Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
XVII. Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
XVIII. Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
XIX. Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
XX. Use and continually develop excellent leadership and communication skills.
XXI. Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
XXII. Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
XXIII. Identify and develop new opportunities with clients.
Qualification & Experience
I. BSc/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
II. A Post-Graduate Degree in Engineering or Management is an added advantage.
III. Relevant Professional Certification in Engineering or Project Management is an added advantage.
IV. Minimum of 5 years’ working experience; of which 2 years out of the 5 years should be in core project management.
V. Candidate has to be resident in Port Harcourt.
