Job Summary

Our Client is looking to hire a suitable candidate to provide strategic direction and leadership, and oversight for the people, systems, structures, and all resources across the organization. Has overall accountability, responsibility, and authority for the management of the business and affairs of the Foundation.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing effective strategies and plans, to achieve the vision and mission of the Foundation
  • Responsible for the seamless execution of these strategies to achieve organizational goals
  • Responsible for fundraising
  • Responsible and accountable for all fund-raising efforts and results
  • Accountable for the overall success of the organization across all performance metrics.
  • Accountable for all company policies and guidelines
  • Accountable for compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Accountable for instituting transparency in our operations to engender public trust in financial stewardship and to provide superior service levels
  • Accountable for human resources management – development and retention of talent
  • Accountable for defining and institutionalizing a positive workplace culture, to galvanize employees toward achieving our vision and mission.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and sufficient motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Provide strategic advice to the Chairman and Board of Trustees
  • Ensure periodic reporting to Board and all relevant stakeholder groups
  • Build and maintain trust and positive relationships with key stakeholders/stakeholder groups.


Requirements:

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA or MSc. in a relevant discipline is an added advantage
  • International training related to Strategy/Management of ‘Not for Profits’ is an added advantage
  • 10+ years of work experience leading strategies, people, and teams
  • 3+ years of work experience in a Senior or Executive Management capacity in a ‘Not for Profit’ company
  • Passion for Philanthropy, Non-profit work, and Social Impact
  • Business strategy & Commercial savvy
  • Good understanding of corporate finance and corporate governance
  • Strong Leadership & People Management skills
  • Excellent Communication (verbal/ written) and presentation skills
  • Excellent Networking & Relationship Management skills
  • Social Impact Metrics
  • Growth & Sustainability
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance
