Job Summary

Circuit Pointe is looking for a program director to join our team. We are an NGO with a vision of a gender-balanced world so our work is focused on advancing the rights of women and girls through rights-based education, and empowerment, and advocating for the abandonment of social norms that condone gender inequality and gender-based violence. We are looking for a team player to design, coordinate and implement our projects' monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework. You must have excellent report writing, data analytics, self-starter, and follow-up skills. Also, you must be willing to learn something new every day, desire to be part of a team, and bring a positive attitude to work.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions, and fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the organization.
  • Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate fundraising results, variances, and performance trends.
  • Provide leadership to and manage the efforts of site staff to ensure appropriate support of all departments
  • Strategic planning and implementation by ensuring that services and funding relationships are robust enough to meet or exceed strategic goals and objectives
  • Serve as Circuit Pointe’s primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, the media, and the general public.
  • Coordinate and leads annual budget reviews, monthly and quarterly reviews, and periodic forecast updates with operational and senior management for all locations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance Circuit Pointe’s Mission.
  • Engage in fundraising and developing other revenues.
  • Oversee marketing and other communications efforts.
  • Oversee organization Board and committee meetings.
  • Establishing employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and the nonprofit's day-to-day operation.
  • Review and approve contracts for services.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Board Governance: 50%

  • Lead organization staff in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.
  • Communicate effectively with the Board and provide, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

 Financial Performance and Viability: 20%

  • Fundraise and develop other revenues necessary to support the organization’s mission.
  • Fiscal management that anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.

 Organization Mission and Strategy: 15%

  • Work with the board and staff to ensure the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.
  • Enhance Circuit Pointe’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professionals, and civic and private organizations.

 Organization Operations: 15%

  • Oversee allocation of resources to ensure smooth operations of the organization.
  • Sign agreements and other contracts made or entered into, on behalf of the organization.


Requirements:

  • This position is open preferably to a female candidate.
  • Minimum academic qualification of a bachelor’s degree or master's degree as an advantage 
  • Possess 3 -5 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Implement strategic plans and policies set by the Board of Trustees.
  • Ensure a timely discharge of all directives and due compliance with all the policies laid down.
  • Manage daily activities of the organization including reporting linkages.
  • Identify fundraising strategies that are beneficial and complementary to the organization's vision and mission.
  • Coordinate fundraising activities, project implementation, community mobilization, and outreach.
  • Ensure that other project team members are coordinated through the program manager and that the implementation processes are on track.
  • Facilitate harmonious relationships between Board, Staff, volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries in communities through effective information/ communication flow.


Remuneration: NGN 250,000 (negotiable if the candidate is strong).

There is 1-month probation after which an appraisal will be conducted and a decision made whether you will be employed full time or asked to discontinue. If we decide to employ you, your monthly salary will be reviewed after 3 months of engagement, and a second appraisal of your performance
