Job Description/Requirements

A minimum of a degree in purchasing and supply chain management or related disciplines with 5 years proven work experience as a procurement officer or manager in the generator and or power industry. Candidate must also have good aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers, experience in collecting and analyzing data,   Strong leadership capabilities. Interested candidates must be willing to relocate to the company’s work site as may be assigned.

Procurement Manager Job Duties:

  • Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs

  • Devise sourcing inventive and cost effective strategies to meet the organizational needs

  • Excellent negotiation skill

  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms

  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries

  • Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times

  • Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company

  • Identify potential new suppliers

  • Research and identify new products and services to meet company's goals and needs

  • Find cost-effective deals and suppliers for the organization

  • Assesses total costs of company purchases

  • Manage purchasing budget

  • Develop purchasing and storing processes

  • Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels

  • Examine and test existing contracts, vendors, suppliers and organizational consumption

  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company

  • Identify product alternatives and product substitutes

  •   Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
