Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team and oversee all purchasing activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier relationships.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Oversee the creation and management of purchase orders for both local and foreign supplies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Cost Management: Analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize procurement spending.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any issues or concerns.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with relevant departments to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Compliance: Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and analyze data to evaluate procurement performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a demonstrated ability to lead procurement teams and deliver results.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria or Certification in Supply chain management are added advantage.
  • Age: 30-45 years.
  • Effective team leadership skill
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • High Integrity
  • Working knowledge of procurement process, supply chain dynamics, and relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with market trends and supplier management best practices.


Remuneration: NGN 900,000
