Main duties and responsibilities
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Plan administration and general management issues, in the day-to-day supervision of staff, communicating with other supervisors, customers and Management
- Coordinate the entire plant operations to ensure maximum customer satisfaction through best possible service delivery
- Ensure proper planning of team monthly shift schedules in a way that is logistically sound, efficient and effective use of staffing resources
- Manage, motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
- Attend to day to day rescheduling to cover unplanned changes in staff availability including sick leave, personal leave and emergency replacement
- Compile and keep up to date all records of operational mid-term data using reports and logs
- Maintain optimum stock positions and re-order levels for all spare parts and consumables
- Examine and test equipment, using testing devices such as multi-meters, battery testers and ET
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to ensure operational congruence with overall objectives
- Coordinate toolbox meetings and administration
- Attend regular operational meetings with utilities or other technical management team
- Perform primary AGO test, visual and flame point tests and chemical infestation tests
- Ensure collected AGO and oil samples are sent for laboratory analysis
- Communicate with the client/utilities team on direct operational electrical load related issues
- Ensure prompt reporting and documentation of incidents such as shutdowns, defects, unusual noise, smell or vibration to the Field Supervisor
- Observe all health and safety regulations in accordance with TPN and client’s safety policies and manuals
- Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environment regulations
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with provided instructions
- Any other job assigned by the Field Supervisor
- Proper documentation and timely reporting.

- Provides direction to team whenever the need arises

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Competencies
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in mechanical or electrical position
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a MUST
- Must have a proven knowledge of how to work with machines and use tools
- Must possess clear and accurate reporting skills
- Must have a positive team attitude when working with other team members
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with solid attention to detail
- Must possess sound troubleshooting knowledge and skills with ability to find and solve problems quickly and precisely
- Demonstrate sound technical knowledge either in power plant operations, or equivalent
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer knowledge is a MUST
