Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise our Instant delivery business in Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the delivery operations for our super application.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient operational strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Oversee daily delivery operations to ensure seamless service.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine operations and drive improvements
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations.
  • Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team of delivery personnel and office staff.
  • Motivate and lead the team to achieve operational goals and maintain high morale.
  • Implement effective performance management systems to track and reward individual and team performance.
  • Manage the entire supply chain, from procurement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Optimize delivery routes to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers/vendors and partners to maintain strong relationships and secure favourable terms.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement.
  • Train staff on customer service best practices to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including product development, customer support, and marketing, to align on goals and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor expenses and revenue to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Leverage technology to improve operational efficiency, such as implementing delivery management software and mobile apps. 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in operations management, preferably in the logistics or e-commerce industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant operational management software tools.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and regulations.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
