Job Summary

As Operations and Sales Lead, you will help design and implement business operations and sales strategy to fuel growth. This will include field sales operations, brand operations, and customer support operations. Successful candidates in this role will have strong business acumen, robust data analytics, Strong people management skills, and background, and experience working at a growth stage operations heavy startup or in a similar role for a large multinational.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage field sales operatives to achieve growth goals across Nigeria
  • Partner with founders to develop a best-in-class operational model for  business operations across all business lines
  • Define, measure, track and report KPIs
  • Partner with Products and Engineering teams to drive technology-enabled solutions across all operational processes
  • Source, onboard, and train new field sales operatives across the organization
  • Work alongside founders to develop a retail partner branding strategy
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and implement an omnichannel strategy for Garage
  • Work with field sales operatives to achieve GMV and retention growth targets
  • Visit all channel partners regularly to understand customer pain points and build strong relationships with partners
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Report weekly performance of the ops team to senior leaders
  • Build world-class responsive customer support operations to maintain and manage relationships with other partners (wholesalers, retailers, etc)
  • Develop and test new strategies to optimize  operations for maximum growth
  • Document all operational processes
  • Complete other duties as requested by leadership.



Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or operations from a top school in Nigeria or around the world
  • 7+ years experience working in operations and sales at a growth-stage startup or reputable multinational
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience the data analytics and reporting tools such as excel, tableau, R
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams
  • Understanding of financial statements
  • Strong understanding of market trends and customer preferences in the automotive sector
  • Strong understanding of the market for home used, new branded, and new generic parts
  • Strong business acumen
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Street smart and resourceful
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator (verbal, text, email)

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master's degree in Business or operations
  • Experience working in operations at a startup
  • 10+ years of experience working in the automotive after-sales sector.



Location: This role requires you to be based in Lagos with the ability to commute in and around the mainland. Candidates should also be comfortable working on the field.
