Job Description/Requirements
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Network Services activities - 70%
Radio Craft (RC) Training and Quality Assurance activities - 25%

Networking activities (65%)
Under the supervision of the Radio Network Director,
Support Network Services in growing network of radio partners, including subscribing new partners.
Facilitate and moderate a WhatsApp group for radio partners, posting in relevant local languages and encouraging partners to participate in their language of choice.
Share FRI's radio resources with broadcasting partners.
Support the production of radio resources and monitor the use of radio resources.
Support partner stations to adapt and use radio resources and FRI's services.
Plan and facilitate Broadcaster Resources (BR) orientation sessions, in collaboration with design sessions.
Support partner stations to participate in elearning opportunities.
Maintain regular contact with women and men broadcasters.
Find ways to include broadcasters that aren’t proficient in reading and writing in English and give priority to "marginalised" broadcasters and radio stations.
Contribute to improve the quality of radio broadcasts with the help of radio resources.
Motivate broadcasters to feel pride in their work and to positively contribute to their communities.
Support the evaluation and impact of networking activities, including use of radio resources by broadcasting partners.
2) RC responsibilities for all projects (30%)
Under the supervision of the Radio Craft Team Lead and the Country Representative ensure that all Radio Craft training and quality assessment activities for FRI impact projects (IP) are delivered effectively and to the highest standards.
Assess the skills of stations involved in FRI impact projects
Plan, Deliver and Evaluate gender-sensitive training following the latest FRI training method
Provide distance coaching to stations
Monitor radio programs and offer follow up information to partner stations
Share lessons learned and insights from RC activities for continuous improvements of FRI methods
Travel within the country when needed and if safe and appropriate.

Qualifications
Degree in Journalism, Communication or a related field or the equivalent work experience in a relevant field
3+ years experience in interactive and participatory training, facilitating and coaching
5+ years experience in Radio and/or Communication programming
3+ years experience in project management and reporting
Expected skills
Strong capacity for facilitating discussions, particularly online
Excellent communication skills, including written and oral
Excellent digital skills (Google suite, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.)
High level of English, both spoken and written with fluency
Proficiency in one or more local languages
Understanding of, and experience with, gender equality and inclusion issues
Good knowledge of the social, cultural, health, political and economic landscape and current events in each region of the country
Good knowledge of radio production techniques
Ability to receive and sort a large volume of information
Ability to check the reliability of information and to disseminate it
Ability to respond to the specific needs of people belonging to marginalized groups
Ability to understand and analyse information on gender equality
