Medical Officer

Responsibilities:

• To provide care to sick and injured patients as well as maintain the health of all patients
• Perform initial assessment and Triage incoming patients & determines the urgency of the problem of walk-in patients based on patient assessment.
• Provide first aid/emergency care for patients
• Undertaking patient consultations and physical examinations
• Organizing workloads
• Assisting with surgical procedures
• Providing general pre-and post-operative care
• Monitoring and administering medication
• Assessing and planning treatment requirements
• Liaising daily with staff including other doctors, non-medical management staff, and healthcare professionals
• Writing reports and maintaining records
• Promoting health education
• Manage day-to-day clinical operations. 
• Encourage health maintenance and promotion through counseling and awareness activities. 
• Maintain and update clinical skills and knowledge by attending applicable continuing education courses and/or obtaining certification when applicable.
• Maintain the hand washing protocol and dress protocol as prescribed.
• Administrative roles such as coordination of medical staff & training. 

Requirements:

• MBBS or M.B.Ch.B certification.
•  Minimum of 5 years Post NYSC.
• BLS certified
• ACLS certification is an added advantage
• Additional administrative certification will be an added advantage
• Be analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Type: Occasional office & home service. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.

Work Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, alternate weekends

Remuneration: NGN 2,640,000 - 3,360,000 gross annually depending on experience and skill set.
