Managing and coordinating marketing/ Brand building activities and creative staff, leading market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services, and liaising with media organizations and advertising agencies. Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • monitoring and analysing market trends
  • studying competitors' products and services
  • exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability
  • Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about the company and drive Traffic for products
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely
  • Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly


Technical Skill

  •   Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
  • Must have proven record of having nurtured and built successful brands in his previous roles.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenge
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.

     

       KNOWLEDGE

  •  Broad Knowledge of Marketing and the FMCG marketing dynamics.
  •  Strong understanding of the fundamentals that determine sales volume in trade.
  •  Knowledge of the Advertising terrain and major players in the Advertising industry        
  •  Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.

      

        SITUATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Ready to work in the office and offsite locations.
  • Should have flexible working time and willing to work odd hours when required.
  • Would be required to periodically undertake trips to the market to evaluate performance products and brands.

  WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Min of 5-10 Years work experience in Marketing 3 of which must be in heading a Marketing function in a medium to large Scale FMCG organization.

     

   COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Word, Excel, Power point, ERP Knowledge.


    MANAGEMENT ABILITY

  • Strong leadership and Mentoring skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work within schedules            
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrates ability to lead and effectively manage teams
  • Excellent multitasking ability

     

      ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

  • First degree or its equivalent. An MBA in Marketing would be an advantage


Professional Qualification

  • Possession of Relevant Professional Qualifications would be an added Advantage.
