Job Summary

A Pharmaceutical company in Lagos state is looking to fill the role of a Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate should be a male and available to travel at short notices, experienced in medical sales and have a good knowledge of traditional and emerging marketing channels. He should be preferably older than 30 years of age and an excellent communicator.

Job Description/Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing plans and implementation strategies to create a brand and drive qualified traffic and leads for the company’s products and services
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting and performance analysis
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely
  • Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies
  • Develop social media plans and manage social media channels
  • Conceptualize and implement fresh communication campaigns, partnerships and other news driving initiatives to build and sustain buzz among the target audience
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
  • Research competitor offerings and advise management on how to be better
  • Plan and participate in the launch of new services and products which involve several different departments
  • Brief the press and PR teams about new products

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of BSc certificate or its equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in medical sales and marketing
  • Preferably a male not less than 30 years of age
  • Excellent understanding of the use of all applications in Microsoft Office
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.

Remuneration Package

  • 200,000 naira monthly salary (negotiable after probation)
  • Other staff benefits
