Job Summary

We are an FMCG marketing and marketing Manager must be a Business Manager and leader because he would have responsibility for working with the GM sales and other executives to determine budgets and targets for Marketing Activities to support the Sales Team in achieving revenue and profit targets. He would lead the team responsible for developing pricing strategies for products and services.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

 monitoring and analyzing market trends

 studying competitors & products and services

 exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability

 Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.

 Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about the company and drive Traffic for products

 Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution

 Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups

 Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors

 Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely

 Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies

 Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals

 Analyse consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly

Technical skills:

 Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn

 Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.

 Must have proven record of having nurtured and built successful brands in his previous roles.

 Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets

 A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication

 Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

 Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels

 Excellent communication skills

 Ability to think creatively and innovatively

 Budget-management skills and proficiency

 Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field

 Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges

 Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.


 Broad Knowledge of Marketing and the FMCG marketing dynamics.

 Strong understanding of the fundamentals that determine sales volume in trade.

 Knowledge of the Advertising terrain and major players in the Advertising industry

 Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.

Situational requirements:

 Ready to work in the office and offsite locations.

 Should have flexible working time and willing to work odd hours when required.

 Would be required to periodically undertake trips to the market to evaluate performance products and brands.

Work experience:

  • Min of 5-10 Years work experience in Marketing 3 of which must be in heading a Marketing function in a medium to large Scale FMCG

Computer skills:

  • Word, Excel, Power point, ERP Knowledge.

Management ability:

 Strong leadership and Mentoring skills

 Demonstrates ability to work within schedules

 Excellent communication skills and demonstrates ability to lead and effectively manage teams

 Excellent multitasking ability

Academic qualification

  • First Degree or its Equivalent. An MBA in Marketing would be an advantage.

Professional qualification

  • Possession of Relevant Professional Qualifications would be an added Advantage.
