Marketer/Business Development Manager

Job Summary

A private hospital located in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos state which provides a wide range of services including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, internal medicine and general surgery, is looking to fill the role of a Business Development Manager/Marketer. The ideal candidate would be tasked with increasing the patient load and consequentially the income of the hospital. He/she must be able to source for potential new clients, prepare and present proposals to potential clients as well as meeting them in person to add them to the business.

Job Description

  • Increase sales through the identification and cultivation of new customers
  • Develop a detailed database of potential new customers/clients for the business
  • Arrange introductory meetings for senior management and prospective customers
  • Plan and implement an annual marketing plan; regularly updating the management team on progress
  • Organization and coordination of all promotional activities
  • Organizing and attending trade shows and exhibitions
  • Preparing and maintaining all promotional materials
  • Managing and updating of company database of new and existing customers
  • Preparation of sales presentations for customer meetings
  • Implementing ongoing marketing campaigns through a number of communication channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.
  • Upkeep and validation of sales pipeline
  • Analysis and feedback of sales performance
  • Researching new market opportunities
  • Researching new product areas for the company
  • Carry out analysis of the overall competitive landscape, identifying key markets and trends
  • Maintain comprehensive records and analysis on all marketing activity
  • Maintain a file on key competitor marketing activity
  • Managing and updating of company social media pages
  • Other projects and duties which the company deems suitable for the position

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of BSc from a reputable university
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in marketing, sales and/or business development role, in the healthcare sector would be an added advantage
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in building effective relationships (with internal and external customers)
  • Excellent client service and relations skills
  • Have a positive, proactive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Have personal and professional credibility
  • Be confident, dynamic and creative
  • Have experience in working to tight deadlines
  • Have an ability to prioritize and high attention to details
  • Have excellent organization skills
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Be a team player and willing to step outside the role when required

Remuneration Package

  • 100,000 naira monthly salary (negotiable)
