Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Case File Management:
- Create and maintain organized files for each litigation case.
- Ensure all legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence are accurately filed and kept confidential.
Court Document Preparation:
- Assist in drafting and formatting legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
- Prepare and file court documents in a timely and ethical manner, adhering to all legal requirements.
Legal Research:
- Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation.
- Summarize relevant case laws and regulations with a commitment to confidentiality.
Calendar Management:
- Maintain and update court appearance dates and deadlines while respecting client confidentiality.
- Coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely filings and appearances with the utmost integrity.
Administrative Support:
- Handle administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and data entry with a focus on confidentiality.
- Organize and manage attorney schedules and appointments while maintaining client trust.
Requirements:
- LL. B/B. L certificate
- Minimum of 5 years experience in active litigation.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Familiar with filing processes and appearing in the various tiers of court.
- Fluent in the English language.
- The ability to speak multiple languages is an additional advantage.
