Job Summary
This role is akin to that of a health worker responsible for providing services to beneficiaries. It consists of assessing community health problems and needs, developing and implementing health plans, and maintaining beneficiary records. It also consists of administering intervention of the Basic Nutrition Package to the eligible population equitably and educating beneficiaries on their health, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention measures, and referring the sick for treatment.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Consult and coordinate with the Nutrition manager to assess the community's needs
- Direct and supervise ward service providers and voluntary health promoters
- Instruct individuals, families, and other groups on topics such as health promotion and nutrition, health education, disease prevention, and childbirth, and develop health improvement programs
- Refer the sick for treatment
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
- Monitor all aspects of the ANRiN intervention, including grievances redress and waste management at the LGA level
- Monitor, record, and report complaints and changes in community perception of intervention, its acceptability or otherwise
- Order, interpret, and evaluate the ANRiN intervention to identify and map areas of poor coverage for intervention
- Prepare communities for verification of services provided by the ANRiN project and the need to keep their service record information safe for inspection and verification.
Requirements:
- Health professional with post basic nursing/midwife/ community health officer (CHO) qualification or graduate of sciences or a health-related field, management, or social sciences
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working with communities in development work with other partners, NGOs, or government
- Must speak English and Hausa and can work proficiently in both languages
- Computer skills to conduct basic functions of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiar with e-mail and video conference software (e.g, Teams, Zoom, Google Meet)
- Resident in Katsina State or willing to relocate (at own cost)
- Willing to work for 1-year in one of the following LGAs Bakaori, Batsari, Charanchi, DanMusa, Dandume, Danja, Dutsinma, Faskari, Funtua, Kafur, Kankara, Kurfi, Malumfashim Matazu, Musawa, Rimi, Sabuwa, Sandamu
- Available for onboarding by mid-December (to be done onsite)
- Available for on-site project take-off in January 2023 after the contract has been signed Preferred
- Already a local resident in one of the LGA selected for at least 5 years
