Job descriptions & requirements
Draft, review, and negotiate property sale agreements, lease agreements, deeds of assignment, and tenancy agreements.
Conduct due diligence and title searches to verify ownership, encumbrances, and authenticity of land documents.
Advise clients on land acquisition, registration, and perfection of title under the Land Use Act and applicable state laws.
Prepare and process Governor's Consent, Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), and other statutory documentation.
Manage property transactions from negotiation to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance at every stage.
Liaise with the Land Registry, Survey Department, and relevant government agencies on behalf of clients.
Represent clients before courts of competent jurisdiction including Magistrate Courts, High Courts, and appellate courts.
Draft and file court processes including writs, statements of claim, motions, affidavits, briefs of argument, and appeals.
Conduct legal research and prepare well-reasoned legal opinions, memoranda, and case strategies.
Handle civil disputes, debt recovery, breach of contract matters, and property-related litigation.
Advise clients on dispute resolution options including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
Monitor case progress, attend hearings, and ensure timely filing of all court documents.
Maintain accurate case files, correspondence records, and cause lists in line with firm standards.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognised and accredited university.
Sound and demonstrable judgement of law across relevant practice areas.
SALARY RANGE
₦250,000 – ₦300,000 / month
