Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee legal and compliance matters related to property.
- Handle litigation, tenancy issues, property management, and compliance.
- Ensure all activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all property-related activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to maintain adherence to legal standards.
- Guide legal aspects of tenant relations and lease negotiations.
- Advise on legal risks and best practices for property management.
- Prepare and review documentation and reports related to property compliance and legal matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential legal and compliance issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal and compliance activities.
- Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an LLB in Law.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in property law and compliance.
- Strong understanding of litigation and tenancy issues.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to property and tenancy.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply legal and regulatory requirements effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex legal and compliance issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts and compliance requirements.
- Experience in negotiating and drafting legal documents and agreements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining accurate legal and compliance documentation.
- Commitment to upholding legal and regulatory compliance with professionalism and diligence.
- Experience in providing guidance and training to staff on legal and compliance matters.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and legal counsel.
