Job Summary

Over the years, Hugo’s technology systems have become more complex, scaling from just email and instant messaging to include automation tools, Enterprise antivirus, Cloud VPN, MDM etc. To this effect, a competent systems administrator who will manage and maximize these tools is needed. The ideal candidate is well versed in technology tools and how they solve various business challenges. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology ecosystem runs smoothly and efficiently. In this position, you will be working with all our teams across all of our locations and will report to the Head, of IT Operations. The role is open to candidates based in or willing to relocate to Lagos, Nigeria.

Job Description/Requirements


Manage operations of IT Systems:

  • Manage all SaaS platforms (excluding People and Finance systems).
  • Ensure security through access controls.
  • Manage licensing and renewals across all SaaS tools.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Hugo’s business and how technology can be used to reduce the delivery time of tasks.
  • Create and de-provision user accounts across all systems.
  • Document changes across all aspects of all systems.
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, processes and procedures.
  • Report - on a set period - KPIs and measured metrics of all systems.
  • Ensure maximum utilization of all key features relevant to Hugo across all systems.
  • Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
  • 3+ years of IT Operations experience
  • Relevant professional certifications and training are acceptable, however, certification is desired. ITIL v4, GCP, AWS, CompTIA Security +, CompTIA Cloud+ etc)
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations is an added advantage.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds
  • Good end-user management.
  • Competent with technology and can understand the inner workings of new technology and deploy to production in a very short time.
  • Strong administration of Google Workspace, Slack etc.
  • Familiar with MDM concepts and have deployed or managed one.
  • Skilled in IT Service Management.
  • Curious.
  • Highly organized, and detail-oriented: both in the way you work and communicate.
  • Helpful and solution oriented.
  • Operate with a high level of accountability.
