Inventory Manager

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & Control

• Optimize and improve the company’s inventory management process  with the goal of controlling costs within budgetary limits while generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital
• Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.
• Manage and control monthly inventory stock counting / reconciliation with all 3PL warehouses
• Minimize overstocking and drive speedy disposal of obsolete inventory to maximize recovery
• Ensure that all inbound goods / stock control  is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support production and goals of the business.
• Ensure all incoming goods are properly received and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
• Supervise and manage all triage projects and 3rd party warehouses
• Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports on inventory performance
• Coordinate and manage all adhoc team(s) working with the inventory department and/or  3rd party Partners
• Supervise and ensure prompt processing of all sales orders to fulfillment
• Supervise the company RMA process
• Supervise, coordinate and manage third party service centers

Logistics /Distribution

• Coordinate all inbound and outbound freight tasks with 3rd party transportation providers
• Manage the timely processing of retail, wholesale and ecommerce orders/ fulfillment
  
• Manage freight vendors based on global best practices and implement cost savings
  
• Facilitate and coordinate the shipping of goods from origin  to final destination
  
• Manage all end-to-end activities related to order fulfilment and transportation requirements to end customers ,making sure stated deadlines are strictly met
  
• Continuous review and optimization of freight costs, transportation rates.

Requirements

• Minimum academic qualification of BSc/HND in business administration. logistics or relevant field;
  
• Working knowledge of an Inventory management system, preferably Zoho
• Minimum of 2 years mobile phones and accessories Inventory management experience
• Nice to have Accounting and Finance knowledge/ experience 
• Must have some knowledge of mobile phone triage and refurbishing process
• Must have very strong IT/analytical skills with ability to analyze big data
• Min 3yrs of Inventory Management experience in retail/ wholesale industry, ideally in telecommunication
• Knowledge and experience of international freight forwarding best practices and process 
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials and procedures
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel, word, Outlook)and remote conferencing tools (Google Meet/Zoom etc.)
