HVAC Technician

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, chillers, heaters, and ventilation units.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues in HVAC equipment.
• Test HVAC systems for leaks, airflow, thermostat function, and refrigerant levels.
• Calibrate thermostats, controls, and system settings for optimal performance.
• Replace or repair worn-out parts such as motors, belts, bearings, filters, and compressors.
• Respond promptly to service requests, emergency breakdowns, and system failures.
• Maintain accurate logs of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support and recommendations on system improvements and energy-saving solutions.
• Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new HVAC systems and upgrades.
• Train end-users or staff on the proper use and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for spare parts and technical assistance.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures.
• Support other facility maintenance operations when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of ND/HND / B.Sc.  in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2 - 3 years of proven hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Professional certifications are a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and related electrical/mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventive maintenance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work on weekends or be on-call when required.
