Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager for employment. The role will oversee comprehensive HR operations across multiple business units, ensuring best-in-class people management practices.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead organizational development initiatives across the conglomerate
  • Drive employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Manage change management processes during business transformations
  • Develop and monitor HR budgets and key performance indicators
  • Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the Lagos market
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to onboarding
  • Develop and manage performance management systems
  • Create and implement training and development programs
  • Establish succession planning frameworks for critical roles
  • Partner with department heads to identify and develop high-potential employees
  • Maintain positive employee relations and manage conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian Labour Law and other relevant regulations
  • Handle disciplinary procedures and grievance management
  • Liaise with labor unions and manage collective bargaining processes
  • Maintain relationship with relevant government agencies (Ministry of Labour, NSITF, etc.)
  • Ensure proper documentation of HR processes and employee records
  • Foster a positive organizational culture across all business units
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives
  • Organize corporate events and employee welfare programs
  • Manage internal communications related to HR initiatives
  • Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Develop and maintain competitive compensation structures
  • Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance and pension schemes
  • Ensure compliance with PENCOM regulations and other statutory requirements
  • Conduct regular market surveys to ensure competitive positioning
  • Oversee payroll administration in collaboration with Finance department


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 6 years HR experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR practices
  • Experience working in a multi-business environment
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent command of English knowledge of local languages is advantageous
  • Master's degree in HR, MBA, or related field is an added advantage
  • International HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
  • Experience in a multinational organization
  • Knowledge of SAP HR or similar ERP systems
