Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled HR Officer who will recruit, support, and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for making the company a better place to work. The ideal candidate is one who is passionate about HR, highly efficient, committed, approachable, and has knowledge of various HR functions. The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to the Human Resource Manager.

  • Minimum Qualification:Degree
  • Experience Level:Mid level
  • Experience Length:2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Human Resource manager in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures
  • Assist the Human Resource Manager in the talent acquisition process, which include writing and placing of recruitment adverts, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; 
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Maintain staff tracker regarding leave, absenteeism, terminations, etc
  • Develop training and development programs
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absenteeism, loans, leaves bonuses, etc.)

Requirements:

  • BSc. In Human Resources or related field
  • 2 - 3 years of proven experience as an HR officer, administrator, or other HR position
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, performance management, etc.)
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is an added advantage

Remuneration: NGN 150,000

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
