The HR Officer will play a vital role in managing and enhancing the human resources functions at Aviya Residence and Apartments Limited. This role involves overseeing employee relations, performance management, training, and development. The HR Officer will ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives & commitment to excellence.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate with department heads to forecast staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Ensure the recruitment process reflects Aviya’s brand image and values, appealing to candidates who resonate with our commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainable practices.
  • Lead interviews, selection processes, and facilitate a seamless onboarding process to integrate new employees into Aviya’s culture, emphasizing excellence and sustainable practices.


Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for all employee relations issues, mediating conflicts, and implementing solutions that uphold company values.
  • Build a supportive and collaborative workplace culture through regular feedback, engagement initiatives, and employee recognition programs.
  • Maintain open communication channels for employees to voice concerns and suggestions.


Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and create programs that enhance skills relevant to Aviya’s operations, including sustainability-focused initiatives.
  • Partner with external training providers and create in-house workshops to drive professional development.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust content as needed to meet evolving business needs.


Performance Management:

  • Implement performance appraisal systems to set clear, achievable goals that align with company objectives.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to employees and collaborate with managers to develop performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Track performance metrics and compile reports to present to senior management.


Policy Implementation and Compliance:

  • Regularly review and update HR policies to ensure alignment with industry standards, labor laws, and the company’s commitment to sustainability.
  • Ensure that all HR policies are effectively communicated to staff and provide training sessions for new updates or changes.Handle sensitive employee data and ensure all record-keeping complies with data protection regulations.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee salary structures and manage payroll processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze market trends to recommend adjustments to compensation and benefits, maintaining competitiveness within the real estate industry.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks that support well-being.


Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives:

  • Drive company-wide initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion, creating a workplace that values varied perspectives and backgrounds.
  • Partner with leadership to embed inclusive practices in recruitment, development, and advancement strategies.


Health, Safety, and Well-being:

  • Develop and promote health and safety programs that protect employees, complying with local regulations and global best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Foster a culture where health and wellness are integral, supporting employee productivity and satisfaction.


HR Operations and Reporting:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all HR processes and systems.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and dashboards to monitor performance, informing strategic decision-making processes.
  • Provide regular reports to the executive team on HR activities, performance, and strategic initiatives, facilitating informed discussions around workforce management.


Leadership and Teamwork:

  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and respect among all team members.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and workshops that enhance collaboration and foster strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Encourage a team-oriented approach to problem-solving, ensuring that all voices are heard in the decision-making process.


Problem-Solving:

  • Analyze HR challenges and develop strategic solutions that align with Aviya’s goals and enhance employee experience.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends and proactively address potential issues within the workforce.
  • Implement effective conflict resolution strategies that reinforce a positive and productive work environment.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in HR, preferably within the real estate, construction, or property management sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Proficient in HR software (e.g., HRIS systems) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with labor laws and industry regulations, with a strong understanding of employment standards and data protection policies.


Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal & non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-stakes environments.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS systems), as well as MS Office Suite.
  • Adept in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple HR initiatives concurrently with clear timelines and effective resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and industry regulations.
  • Readiness to pivot strategies in response to changing business conditions while maintaining alignment with core objectives.
