Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:


Develop and Implement Sales Strategies:

  • Design and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company’s overall goals, ensuring business growth and profitability in the Northern region.
  • Tap into new opportunities in both existing and potential markets to drive new revenue streams.


Market Analysis and Competitive Strategy:

  • Continuously analyze the competitive landscape and market trends to develop proactive sales strategies.
  • Use market data to drive business growth, increase market share, and ensure the company remains competitive.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage the sales team, fostering a positive, synergistic working environment.
  • Mentor and coach the sales team, providing guidance to optimize performance.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent to build a high-performing sales team.
  • Perform quarterly appraisals and recommend relevant training for the team to support continuous growth.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients.
  • Manage the direct interface with customers to address needs, concerns, and product innovations.
  • Oversee business relationship management and handle negotiations effectively.


Business Development:

  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the client base by creating detailed business plans and proposals.
  • Develop and recommend strategic approaches for product positioning and market expansion.


Sales Performance Monitoring:

  • Set and monitor key sales metrics, ensuring revenue, EBITDA, and net profit margin goals are achieved on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and provide insights to senior management for continuous improvement.


Marketing and Product Strategy:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for existing and new products, ensuring the company’s offerings are positioned to meet market demands.
  • Ensure a consistent corporate image across all sales and marketing materials.


Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely invoicing and collection of receivables in line with customer payment terms.
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, sales, and commercial activities.


Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with the HR department to identify training needs and improve team performance.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure smooth execution of sales and client service agreements.


Oversight on Sales Jobs:

  • Oversee all sales jobs related to clients, ensuring timely responses and high-quality service.


Client Meetings & Relationship Management:

  • Regularly attend and organize meetings with existing and prospective clients to maintain and develop business relationships.


Invoicing and Payment Collection:

  • Ensure invoicing is completed on time and in alignment with customer payment terms.


Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Social Sciences, Management Sciences, or a related field (Required), MBA (Preferred).
  • Professional certifications (Additional advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior sales or marketing role, preferably within the engineering, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Proven track record of success in achieving sales targets, building client relationships, and managing teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • In-depth understanding of sales techniques and best practices.
  • Expert negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Ability to leverage market research for business development and competitive advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commercially astute with a focus on customer satisfaction and business sustainability.
