Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Head of Internal Audit based in Lagos, Nigeria, with some flexibility to work from home. The Head of Internal Audit will be responsible for performing risk assessments, evaluating internal controls, and conducting financial and operational audits. They will also provide recommendations to enhance compliance, mitigate financial risks, and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong Accounting and Finance knowledge
- Proficiency in Internal Controls and Financial Risk Management
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for evaluating financial and operational processes
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA is preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience in leadership roles within internal audit or risk management is an advantage
