Job Description

Key aims and objectives

  • The role is responsible for day to day execution of the company’s profitability/revenue plans and transformational growth strategy as provisioned in the AOP.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain/Operations Costing

 Costing functions include determining actual costs of providing AML various services, scrutinizing associated company expenses, analyzing profitability and supporting the C.O.O in preparing the company budget on Opex.

 Responsible for company inbound & outbound samples logistics and analysis frame work

2. Logistics Ops & Finance Control

 Handle all pricing recommendation for samples dispatch, ambulance pick up and transport of machine parts/consumables to various centres.

 Prepare and recommend profitability analysis in both dispatch and ambulance units

3. Logistics- Cash & Credit Reporting

 Oversee all centres/regions day to day report on dispatch samples and ambulance patronage for corporate business- ensuring the integrity and timeliness of all reported figures.

4. Reporting and Control

 Presenting MR (monthly report) for all centres to the C.O.O.

 Support the C.O.O in the development and management of the business P&L

 Control all processes in dispatch and ambulance units.

 Use data from IT systems/Office of Strategy Management to evaluate performance and quality in controlling improvements.

5. Coordination with Regional Business Head/Centre Heads

 Liaise with the RBHs & CHs for seamless operations in their centres

 Manage SLAs and dispatch riders insourced operations from FEDEX at designated centres

 Manage logistics SOPs of all outsourced samples in each centre from Ikeja to outside country

 Prompt delivery of samples, reagents and consumables from vendor or head office across centres.

 Track all KPIs for the dispatch and ambulance team members on structured measurable mode

6. Business Partnering

 Develop a deep understanding of all the logistic of dispatch, ambulances and equipment parts/accessories in ensuring optimal support is provided.

 Build a forward looking, strategic and commercially focused Business Partnering Team

 Agree and manage Service Level Agreements with the Business.

7. Governance

 Define and maintain Company logistics policies and procedures

 Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in respect of all logistics aspects of the business.

 Implement and maintain internal controls according to both national & international best practices.

 Oversee all operation modes in alignment with appropriate State, National & International regulatory requirements.

Experience, knowledge and technical skills

a. Minimum of 5 years of cognate experience as a Logistic Manager in the industry

b. First degree in Medical or Para Medical from a reputable institution

c. Strategic focus and forward looking, experienced in diagnostic business partnering with C.O.O to develop and deliver business strategies.

d. Familiar with operational processes, procedures and policies.

e. Strong people management skills.

f. Detailed understanding of operational risk management in ref to method and manpower.

g. Experienced in building high performing operation functions
