Head Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for the finance function, ensuring robust financial management and reporting processes
  
• Prepare, analyze, and present timely and accurate financial statements and management reports
  
• Implement effective cost control measures across food, beverage, and operational expenditures
  
• Supervise payroll administration, vendor management, and procurement accounting
  
• Monitor compliance with regulatory & statutory bodies requirements in Ghana
  
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning
  
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to build capability and ensure adherence to best practices in accounting and internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable)
  
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  
• Prior experience in the hospitality or food & beverage sector will be a distinct advantage
  
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with hospitality POS or ERP systems will be an asset
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate effectively across teams
  
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
