Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Develop and implement production strategies to optimise efficiency and quality.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including finance, HR, procurement, and logistics.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Champion innovation within the leather manufacturing space
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing Management, or related field
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations
- Skilled in Operations Management and Operational Excellence
- Proficient in Budgeting and cost management
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of business functions, including finance, HR, procurement, operations, and production processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site in Lagos
- Previous experience in the leather manufacturing or production company is a plus
