General Manager: Business Development

Job Summary

We are searching for result-oriented candidates with 15 - 25 years post-NYSC exposure from all educational disciplines to be engaged as General Manager: Business Development (GM BD). The Organisation consists of value-adding companies with diverse interests and offers an enviable career pathway. The Candidate will play operational and management roles in scaling up an e-commerce centred program.

Job Description/Requirements


  • They will be responsible for executing marketing and sales strategies, enrollment of users, customer conversions, and implementing programs for a profitable business to grow sales on the storefronts.
  • Reinforce marketing, sales on storefronts, the administrative and operational capability of the organization through mobilization of personal contacts and support team members to prospect for users as Brand Agents and investment Partners.
  • Reinforce the execution, monitoring of the company’s business development, branch creation, market penetration strategies, and operating plans for enhancing business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Assume responsibility to manage deals by navigating the customers through all facets of the sales process; prepare periodic marketing reports on targets and achievements for management.
  • They will reinforce recruitment and training of the workforce and representatives, moderate the mobilization of their contacts on the program, evaluate team members, strengthen storefront sales, and prospective candidates for Brand Agents engagement.
  • Reinforce and maintain an Internal Process on discipline within the business, to review, strengthen and improve the administrative systems and procedures; and ensure adequate manpower for smooth business operation.
  • Planning, scheduling, and promoting operational events to reinforce the process of enrollment of members as Investors, workforce, Brand Agents, and for other program roles and drive transactions needed for business growth, and carry out other functions as may be assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Good communication, interpersonal, marketing, and administrative skills.
  • Skill to work in a target-oriented environment to achieve sales targets.
  • Industrious with a skill for a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Resourceful with high attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Required Qualification and Exposure:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, but  Higher Degree will be an advantage.
  • Graduates with 15 - 25 years post NYSC exposure in whatever educational discipline.
  • Relevant experience will count at the point of assigning duties and responsibilities.
