General Manager

Job Summary

To ensure the effective management, growth and profitability of Bature Brewery. Will be responsible for bringing the Bature brand to life for clients.

Job Description/Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the CEO to define and align on strategic aims, objectives and direction in line with the company’s vision and strategic imperatives
  • Ensure strategic aims and objectives are translated into specific business targets and thereafter develop mechanisms and timelines for measuring progress
  • Will oversee business performance on production, key accounts and retail venues
  • Drive business development and strategic relationship management for the business
  • Periodically evaluate the market to identify areas of opportunity, explore the viability of opportunities, develops appropriate plans to derive value for the business 
  • Drive delivery of agreed key performance areas, monitor and regularly report on the financial and operational performance of the business to the CEO
  • Will oversee the execution of core business initiatives and expenditure budget in line with agreed plans
  • Maintain good knowledge of emerging trends and industry standards, develop and consistently implement relevant practices, policies and standards for smooth running of the business
  • Role models and monitors compliance with relevant industry and regulatory provisions
  • Facilitates the creation of an environment that enables and rewards excellent performance and entrepreneurial mindset

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in business management in a national or international dimension, with a minimum of 3 years in managerial or leadership capacity and with direct interface with the Executive team
  • Experience in the brewery or hospitality sector
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree/HND in any Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration disciplines 


  • MBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline is an advantage

  • Salary: NGN700,000-NGN850,000
