MAIN TASKS

• Keep an inventory of all vehicles in the fleet, noting their states and updating same from time to time.

• Schedule drivers and assign vehicles to deliver products (Dry cargo) to Company Distributors and Customers on a daily basis.

•  Monitor the movement of all vehicles in the fleet, using a tracking system, and report any inconsistencies in vehicle movements to the General Manager.

• Ensure the safety and security of all vehicles in the fleet. Inspect and report any accident to Management and proffer solutions for preventing future occurrences.

• Supervise the routine maintenance and repair of all vehicles in the fleet and maintain an up-to-date and well-equipped Maintenance Garage. Draw up a periodic maintenance schedule for all vehicles and ensure a zero-downtime in vehicle movements.

• Prepare weekly reports on the state of each vehicle (Health of the Fleet), including deployments and delivery to customers outlets. Analyze the effectiveness of operations and seek better ways to efficiently run the fleet and reduce operating and running costs.

• Ensure that all Vehicle Permits, Licenses and Insurance Policies are current and monitor the issuance of, and usage of fuels and spare parts, by Drivers. Ensure that all Drivers and Mechanics are properly trained for the performance of their duties and that Drivers, in particular, obey all traffic rules and regulations.

• Investigate and resolve complaints on vehicle fleet operations and ensure that quality spare parts are supplied for vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.

WORKING HOURS: On-call 24/7.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HND Mechanical (Automobile Engineering.
• 4–6 years of cognate experience.

SALARY: N100,000/Month
