Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
- Provide detailed analysis of financial results and present findings to the Financial Controller and management team.
Team Supervision and Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of four accountants, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Financial Processes and Automation:
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline financial reporting and operational processes.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting and reporting functions.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance the use of accounting packages and advanced Excel tools.
Business Improvement and Structuring:
- Develop and implement financial structures and policies to support the company’s growth in a highly operational, fast-paced environment.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making by providing accurate financial data and insights.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts, providing recommendations for course corrections.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and other departments to ensure financial alignment across the organization.
- Partner with external auditors to ensure successful completion of audits.
