Oversee the preparation and maintenance of proper accounting records for the company
Analyzing targets with other departmental heads
Coordinate other functions such as accounts payable, collection and payroll.
Oversee the overall corporate budgeting preparation, management and monitoring processes.
Perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities.
Ensure that the financial reports are prepared and delivered on time.
Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness.
Assisting in hiring and training new employees on financial operations.
Establish key financial strategies to enhance business profitability.
Ensure financial team follows company policies and regulations.
Develop standard accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency.
Participate in performance evaluation of finance staff and conduct counselling sessions to identify skill development needs.
Perform account reconciliation activities.
Establish accurate forecasts regarding expenses and revenues and manage regular reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities (FIRS, State Internal revenue)
Oversee the inventory Management Control
People Management - Manages effective communication by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback on performance and training needs - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
Reporting - To prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.
Minimum qualification of HND/BSC 3+ of experience.
Excellent knowledge of day-to-day reporting tools and account packages.
