Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

● Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

● Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to

optimize revenue and control costs.

● Prepare variance analysis reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess

progress towards targets.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

● Collaborate with department heads to create annual operating budgets and periodic

forecasts.

● Monitor budget vs. actual performance, investigate variances, and propose corrective

actions.

● Update forecasts based on changing business conditions and market trends.

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

● Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and

general ledger maintenance.

● Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, preparing financial statements and

supporting schedules.

● Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with statutory

requirements.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance:

● Stay informed about tax regulations and ensure timely filing of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory

payments.

● Assist in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.

● Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities to address inquiries and

compliance issues.

Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or professional

certification (ACCA, CFA) is a plus and can be considered in lieu of a degree.

● Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the retail, beauty, or

service industry.

● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide

actionable recommendations.

● Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software, and Microsoft Excel.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively

across departments.
