Job Summary

Our client is recruiting a full-time Finance and Administrative Executive. The job holder's duties will revolve around ensuring that the business is operating effectively and efficiently. Main responsibilities will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. The controller will also work directly with the finance and management team to dynamically run the business both locally and internationally.

Job Description/Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting including monthly closings, financial statement preparation, financial and statutory audit, general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Ensure all the transactions are recorded and coded accurately in all accounting systems
  • Compile and process weekly payment runs 
  • Prepare financial reporting for regional entities.
  • Upload bank statements for regional entities weekly and match invoices to payments
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, etc.
  • Perform bank reconciliations 
  • Perform accounts analysis and reconciliations
  • Review and approve expense reports and expense reimbursements to ensure proper charging
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date 
  • Maintain asset register
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecast
  • Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecast
  • Prepare monthly and annual tax returns
  • Prepare and process sundry and recurring monthly journals
  • Track revenue receipts
  • Assist with providing information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Implement standard monthly management reporting packages across all subsidiaries
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial impact of any variations from actual performance to budget and forecast
  • Assist with other administration functions
  • Ad Hoc duties and support Finance team 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: 

  • 4+ years experience 
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, CPA preferred
  • Must have experience in Xero, Sage
  • A self-starter and able to work independently
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Good technical accounting skills
