Job Summary

We are in the process of adding to our team reliable and competent professionals who will work with us to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting including seamless administration of the business. The Finance & Admin Officer will be responsible for proper bookkeeping and management reporting of the business including ensuring that administrative duties are carried out excellently.

  • Minimum Qualification: Degree

Job Description/Requirements

The Role:

Technical

  • Design management report templates; 
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures manual;
  • Establish a quality assurance process to provide assurance on the  accuracy and timeliness of reports
  • Obtain copies of all invoices and bills received in the relevant period;
  • Receive payment instructions; 
  • Issue/collect sales invoices;
  • Vouch all expenses to ensure due approval and reasonability;
  • Post financial transactions and relevant accounting entries in accordance with the requirements of IFRS on Sage Evolution Accounting  Software (Sage) 
  • Apply a close the book's checklist to ensure the completeness of  transaction capture;
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and supporting  account schedules (statement of financial position, statement of  comprehensive income, statement of Cash flows, and dashboard);
  • Maintain asset register and asset schedule;
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements;
  • Prepare inter-company reconciliation statements;
  • Review disbursement of cash/petty cash

Reporting and Deliverables:

  • Master data of customers, vendors, employees, inventory, and fixed assets
  • Accounting policies and procedures manual
  • Management report templates
  • The documented quality assurance process
  • Monthly/Quarterly management report
  • Supporting schedules to the financial statements (AP aging, prepayment  schedule, accruals schedule, fixed assets schedule)
  • Bank reconciliation statements
  • Intercompany reconciliation statements

Requirements:

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience Level: Mid-level
