Job Description/Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required for the Job:
ND/NCE/Certificates in Food Science and Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Chemical/Mechanical/production engineering and any other related courses,
3 years relevant working experience in the manufacturing setting of a FMCG (special attention on automatic sachet forming and filling line packaging machine - pillow pack filling machine).
knowledge in photo electric cell for the automatic print registration of sachets, ability to operate electronic thermo-regulators for sealing jaws and rollers.
Knowledge of GHP HACCP/GMP, global safety practices.
Knowledge of automated filling machine and sterilization of products and packaging materials.
Basic computer appreciation and experience In Tubular heat exchanger its an added advantage.
Mission and Long-Term Goal: To manage all filling lines machines and processes that promote excellence in food safety, quality and quantity productivity, cost management in accordance with the company’s budget and time lines.
Short-Term Goal: To work with the line manager, the General Manager Processing, and other team members to set up filling processes and procedures (SOP), and drive factory setup so that Tomato Jos can commission the facility in March 2021 and conduct a commercial production run in same month.
Other Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and CIP of the used tools.
To frequently liaise with the Processing engineering manager on maintenance and repairs of the filling lines.
To continuously improve the efficiency of the filling system of the plant to minimize or possibly eliminate total breakdown.
To plan for the various maintenance schedules (Preventive maintenance) of all equipment based on the anticipated and planned production.
To continuously carryout routine checks on all filling line machines and ensure they are in good working conditions.
To frequently liaise with the processing engineering manager on calibration of all the measuring and weighing equipment, and execute other related activities as defined by the Processing Floor/Shift Manager.
Additional Qualifications and Experience That Will Set You Apart
Prior experience with automated consumer packaging machine operations
Prior experience with tomato processing, edible oils, sugar or starch production, or other food production requiring evaporation and tubular heat exchange
Fluency in Hausa

Remuneration: Salary is commensurate to experience within the range of industry standards. A communication allowance, pension and health insurance are included, and an annual performance-based bonus may be awarded at the discretion of the executive management team. Please note that adequate security is provided to the whole Tomato Jos team.
Salary: (₦50,000 – ₦100,000)
