Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Officer for our subsidiary Touton Nigeria Limited. The candidate will be responsible for taining farmers on the ground on EUDR legislation, use of mapping tools, among other topics.
The field officer will work with the sustainability coordinator of Nigeria.
Mission:
Train farmer groups on the ground on EUDR legislation and sustainability standards such as RA.
Train farmer groups on the use of mapping tools and support the collection of polygons of cocoa farms.
Train farmer groups on internal inspections
Conduct internal inspections at farmer and farmer group level and support the elaboration of corrective plans.
Support the revision of training materials for farmers and farmer groups.
Train farmer groups on child labour monitoring systems, grievance mechanisms and support the implementation of the systems.
Preferred Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in certification standards is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in support mapping and training for farmer groups.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Strong proficiency in Excel and mapping tools.
Good knowledge of traceability procedures within the supply chain.
Understanding of the cocoa supply chain is highly desirable.
