This is a 6-month contract with a possible extension position. The job holder will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategy to attract, inform, inspire and engage visitors to the Ananse brand and encourage click-through to products on the online store as well as defining and implementing consistent Ananse e-commerce brand personality and editorial voice across different social media channels.

- Work with creative staff, agencies, and other department heads to produce high-quality multimedia content
- Cultivate relationships and deploy social media campaigns with influencers and other brand partners
- Coordinate social media activities with other related functions: paid advertising, PR, multimedia content, and customer care
- Collate and analyze data to monitor the effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results
- Report regularly on insights gained from social media analytics to support the Ananse team in evolving company strategies in a timely fashion
- Monitor trends in social media tools and applications to ensure Ananse utilizes best industry practice
- Develop and deliver social media training to support targeted and current fashion merchants on the Ananse e-commerce marketplace platform
- 3 - 5 years of work experience in an e-commerce marketing and communications management role
- 3 - 5 years social media and content creation experience in the fashion industry
- Relevant business degree
- Good understanding of fashion marketplaces and the African fashion landscape
- Highly analytical and data driven
- Creative problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong people, stakeholder and project management skills
- International exposure and understanding of different cultures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving capabilities with a record of finding feasible solutions to complex problems in an environment with incomplete information and tight timelines
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
