The company is an integrated agricultural production and processing organisation. The company plans to have over 1,000 acres of crop planted over the next 12 months.

Job Description


  • A seasoned professional who will establish a comprehensive program for the preparation, planting, harvesting, processing and marketing of the company’s products. 


  • Bachelors Degree or HND in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or a related science discipline.
  • Experience 5 years post qualification experience including at least 2 years of service at the managerial or supervisory level. 

Reporting Reports to General Manager:

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and coordinating all the phases of agricultural production from planting to harvesting
  • Recruiting, training and supervising laborers and workers
  • Undertake practical activities, such as driving tractors, operating farm machinery and spraying fields with pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers
  • Purchase supplies such as crop inputs, pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers
  • Arrange the maintenance and repairs of farm machinery and equipment
  • Plan activities for training staff and monitoring their performance
  • Maintain and monitor the quality and quantity of crop yield
  • Understand the implications of weather and make contingency plans
  • Ensure that farm activities comply with government regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them
  • Forward planning
  • Keeping on top of all projects to make sure that work progresses in a satisfactory manner
  • Apply health and safety standards across the farm estate
  • Keep financial accurate up-to-date financial and operational records
  • Produce and provide regular update and records to management
